How to Obtain:

• It can be scavenged during Level 23+ missions.

Crafting:

• Level 11 Vintage Hardened variants can be crafted using a Vintage Fire Axe and 4 Hardened Metal at a Level 4+ Weapons Bench for 6 .
• Level 13 Vintage Heavy Refined variants can be crafted using a Vintage Fire Axe and 20 Hardened Metal at a Level 5+ Weapons Bench for 16  after scavenging the required schematic. Also requires a Level 13+ Engineer and Fighter.
• Level 23 Heavy Refined variants can be crafted using a Fire Axe and 32 Hardened Metal at a Level 9+ Weapons Bench for 28  after scavenging the required schematic. Also requires a Level 23+ Engineer and Fighter.
• Level ? Quality Refined variants can be crafted using a Fire Axe and ? Hardened Metal at a Level 9+ Weapons Bench for ?  after scavenging the required schematic. Also requires a Level ?+ Engineer and Fighter.

Overview:

PROS:
- High Damage
- Good Knockback (vs other axes)
- Very Accurate
- Noiseless

CONS:
- Short Reach
- Low Move Speed Penalty

TACTICS:
While powerful enough to kill a zombie with one strike and possessing a decently fast strike, the Fire Axe suffers from being limited to melee range, which almost guarantees that zombies will be able to get a strike in before its wielder can.
