How to Obtain:
- It can be scavenged during Level 51+ missions.
- Level 51 variants can be scavenged during the Raid on Union Island.

TACTICS:
The high level variant of the SV-SMG. It sports 10 more rounds, fires faster and has a better accuracy than its basis. However, it the effective range is just slightly increased. Nonetheless, quick reloads and survivors specialized in SMGs will mow zombie hordes with ease.
Recommended gear:
- Extended Mags to fire more rounds before reloading.
- Ammunition Pouches/Bandoliers to further increase the reloading speed.
- Glasses to increase its effective range, with some variants increasing accuracy as well.
BACKGROUND:
A previously unknown variant of the SV-SMG, this weapon has spotted in use by HERC personnel on Union Island. Considering how the SV-SMG is not known to be in widespread use by the military, it is unknown how HERC acquired these weapons.
Can be found in HERC bases.

- There is a very low chance of obtaining Normal variants of varying levels by opening supply boxes.

TACTICS:
The SV-SMG is one of the fastest-firing automatic weapons that can be acquired in the city. Its high cyclic rate is hard to control and results in low accuracy, cause most of its shots to fail to strike its target. It's large, quickly-reloaded magazine lends itself to being used as a "spray-and-pray" weapon on the field. Issuing to an operator with a high Ranged Combat proficiency can remedy its weakness.
Recommended gear:
- Extended Mags increase the ammo capacity, allowing it to fire off more rounds before having to reload.
- Glasses increase its short engagement range, with some variants aiding the wearer in successfully striking their target.
- Weapon Cleaning Kits counteract the low accuracy, ensuring less ordnance is wasted.
WEAPON BRIEF:
A milestone in small arms technology, the SV-SMG features a unique vertically-canted firing mechanism that is designed to reduce the felt recoil and muzzle climb of the .45 ACP round it chambers. Its manufacturer intended to market the gun to military and law enforcement circles as both a PDW and a tactical SMG.
A new and expensive firearm, it is not known how many were sold prior to the outbreak.

The SV-SMG MK II retains its base model's ammo-intensive rate of fire and pairs it with greatly increased accuracy and an even larger magazine, ensuring its ability to oversaturate its target with precision fire. The ballistic potential and each individual shot remains low, and it has a very short effective range, possibly endangering its wielder if they are unable to subdue advancing threats.
Recommended gear:
- Extended Mags increase its ammo capacity, allowing it to deliver even more rounds before having to reload.
- Glasses increase its short engagement range, with some variants increasing the wearer's ability to strike their target.
- Weapon Cleaning Kits enhance its accuracy further, ensuring less ordnance is wasted.
- Ammunition Mods increase the ballistic impact of each shot, allowing its wielder to bring down infected at a greater speed.
WEAPON BRIEF:
The military have made their own modifications upon the highly advanced SV-SMG; with the most noticeable being a scope for optical assistance and an enlarged magazine. Operators who are issued this compact yet high-performance weapon can expect low mission difficulty should their objective be clearing out hostiles in close quarters combat.
May be found in the hands of close-combat shock troops.
