History

On August 28, 2023, the "The Last Stand: Dead Zone Revival" Discord server was created, where several fans of the game planned and explored the possibility of recreating a version of the game. With effort, they managed to obtain the game's assets, but they needed people to recreate the game from scratch (for example: a server that replicates and understands the logic of the game client), and in this area, there wasn't much progress.

On February 17, 2024, a user named "SC-Sulivan" joined the Discord server announcing that he would take charge of reviving the game, and over time he became the main developer of Dead Zone Revive.

In 2025, they achieved the milestone of getting past the game's loading screen, giving hope that the progress was truly significant.

On July 25, 2025, ConArtist became aware of the project through several requests and gave Sulivan permission to continue developing it. Later, on November 19, 2025, ConArtist and Sulivan (under the name of his company called "Switch Compagnie") reached a legal agreement called a "Fan Project License" which made the project 100% official and legal. One of these agreements was that we could not use the name "The Last Stand" in the project, which led to the project being renamed to "Dead Zone Revive".
