Overview:

PROS:
- Very Long Effective Range (longest of all weapons)
- High Damage
- High RoF (vs. other long rifles)
- Reloads Quickly (vs. other long rifles)

CONS:
- Very High Ammo Cost
- Inaccurate (vs. other long rifles)

TACTICS:
An improvement over the M-417, it retains much of its brethren attributes except for an increased range. Other than that, it performs better in large, open areas rather than closed quarters. Survivor support is required whenever infected close in or the wielder needs to reload.
Recommended gear:
- Glasses to further improve range, with some variants improving accuracy as well.
- Extended Mags to increase its small magazine, allowing more shots to be fired.

BACKGROUND:
The G28 is a designated marksman rifle based on the civilian version of the M-417. Some of its parts are made from steel instead of the manufacturer's aluminium alloy and approximately 75% of the parts are interchangeable with the M-417.
Several models were purchased by the military shortly before the outbreak but never made it into service.
