How to Obtain:

• It can be scavenged during Level 51+ missions.

TACTICS:
HERC armories have used the AS-12 platform to issue a high-quality standard weapon with a greatly increased range over the original design. The weapon's favorable traits give it the ability to efficiently dispatch approaching infected targets. However, its automatic fire diminishes its accuracy and therefore its used should be limited to operators with a shotgun specialization for maximum effectiveness.
Recommended gear:
- Bandoliers/Carrier Harnesses decrease the amount the time the wielder is vulnerable after depleting the magazine.
- Glasses improve the wielder's ability to hit targets from further away, with some variants improving accuracy.
- Extended Mags gives the wielder more potential stopping ability with each reload.

WEAPON BRIEF:
The recent increase in HERC presence on Union Island come with high risk for soldiers deployed on reclamation operations. Threats from lingering infected and rogue survivors have necessitated the need for a firearm capable of close quarters engagement. A previously developed military shotgun was used as a base to enable platform familiarity while allowing for performance improvements to fulfil combat needs. The result features an elongated barrel among other things decrease hostiles' ability to interfere with HERC operations. 
The weapon is issued to specialty shock units in HERC teams.
