• It can be scavenged during Level 56+ missions.

TACTICS:
The integrated suppressor is this weapon's main effector in combat, allow it to fire in silence, decreasing infected attraction to its wielder. Its serviceable damage and fire rate is enough to stave off targets that still are able to approach. However, the weapon still has mediocre accuracy and range, so support by allied operators is recommended.
Recommended gear:
- Gears give the wielder all-round combat bonuses as well as defensive attributes for their survival in the Dead Zone.
- Glasses improve the wielder's ability to hit targets from further away, with some variants improving accuracy.
- Extended Mags gives the wielder more potential stopping ability with each reload.

WEAPON BRIEF:
The SSG-12 is a recent addition in a line of tube-fed, semi-automatic American shotgun popular among sportsmen and law enforcement alike, affectionately known by the nickname "Super ShotGun" to Union City residents. HERC has included in their latest weapon catalogue a variant of this weapon with various stealth-oriented mods, with the most notable one being an improved version of the sizable suppressor found on the Thudder.
Initially issued to selected assault teams for field testing, this weapon is experiencing a surge in demand from various HERC branches.
