TACTICS:
Operators using the USAS-12 will find its high ballistic effect fired at a respectable speed will can easily and rapidly achieve clearance of groups of infected targets. However, its short range and small magazine size creates a large possibility that the wielder will be overwhelmed if they are alone. The USAS-12 should be used when well-covered by nearby allied support.
Recommended gear:
- Bandoliers/Carrier Harnesses decrease the amount the time the wielder is vulnerable after depleting the magazine.
- Glasses improve the wielder's ability to hit targets from further away, with some variants improving accuracy.
- Extended Mags increase the wielder's combat endurance with each magazine.
WEAPON BRIEF:
The Universal Sports Automatic Shotgun 12 was designed around the 1980s in South Korea, based broadly on the principles employed by a predeceasing Daewoo design. In doing so, it remains perfectly sufficient for dispatching humanoid targets in its effective range.
Its failure to adhere to sporting firearm standards has limited its civilian availability, but can still be found equipped by the military and some police agencies.
Variations:
The USAS-12 has no modular variations.
