The compound is the player's base of operations and where their survivors live.
A compound needs multiple different types of structures in order to operate efficiently. Players can open the Construction Menu to view available buildings. These buildings are sorted into categories depending on their functionality in maintaining the compound.

Defensive buildings that serve as protection or rallying points for survivors

These buildings are able to make resources for the compound over an amount of time.
