Junk
Junk is a category of items that can be found nearly anywhere in the Dead Zone. It exists primary to be recycled for resources and components. For most junk items, this is indeed their only use; as a reserve storage of materials that cannot be raided and are recycled as demand dictates.
A handful of junk items do have auxiliary uses however, such as for tasks, research, or crafting.
Some junk items are looted or rewarded from events (particularly Z-Mas) and contain items rivaling that of supply boxes.
