How to Obtain:

It can be scavenged during Level 14+ missions.

Crafting:

The weapon can be upgraded up to Level 19.
Level 17 Maintained Smoothbore variants can be crafted using a Tactical Shotgun and 10 Machined Parts, 1 Pipe, and 2 Lenses at a Level 8+ Weapons Bench for 10 (after scavenging the required schematic).
Level 17 Maintained Recoilless variants might be obtained by opening HERC-05-03 Supply Boxes.
Level 17 Quality variants might be obtained by opening HERC-05-06 Supply Boxes.
Level 20 Sighted Quick Load variants might be obtained by opening HERC-06-01 Supply Boxes.

TACTICS:
While the Thudder is a weapon capable of heavily damaging the infected with just one shot and can easily stagger targets for subsequent dispatchment, the primary feature of this platform is its quietness, which allows its wielder to avoid unwanted attention. Its limited magazine and slow reload time make it less useful in open combat.
Recommended gear:
- Ammunition Pouch/Bandoliers ease the reloading process and decrease the amount of the time its operator is vulnerable.
- Extended Mags increase its ability to provide supportive fire.

WEAPON BRIEF:
Low attraction is a valuable asset for operators of all kinds. The need for stealth and lethality has spawned notable purpose built designs of firearms, allowing for high-powered 12-gauge shotguns to operate in near silence to great effect. The Thudder has been distributed to several HERC units seeking to take advantage of this combination of traits, but some pieces have been seen in the hands of rogue survivors of the Dead Zone.
Its high price limits its availablity.
